Ajax offers to assist Malaysian youth football

Netherlands club AFC Ajax has expressed its willingness to assist in developing Malaysian youth football. Jonathan Price, Chairman of the secretive England-based Gifted Group Limited told media that Ajax, which is a member of the G-14 alliance of powerful European clubs, presented its proposal to the Malaysian Youth and Sports Ministry recently. He said that Ajax's youth academy was well-known worldwide and its youth development had produced top footballers. Ajax's development in Malaysia would involve the youth at the state and club levels, he added.

GGL is the organiser of Champions Youth Cup, an initiative of the G14 which is being hosted by the Malaysian Government. Milo, a brand of Nestle Products Sdn Bhd, is a major sponsor of the tournament including the U-11 CYC-MILO-Ministry of Education Football Carnival and community programmes in Kuching, Melaka, Kuantan and Alor Setar.
