South Korea's LG sponsors England's Fulham FC

LG Electronics, the South Korean-based global consumer electronics and mobile communications company, has announced it has agreed a three-year main team and shirt sponsorship with English Premier League club Fulham. The deal is the most significant sponsorship agreement in the club’s history. The future 20007/08 season Club kit sporting LG’s ‘smiling face’ logo will be launched over the summer. LG will obtain significant brand profile at the ground, with LG flat panel TVs to be seen throughout Craven Cottage stadium and LG enjoying major presence on the new LED perimeter boards around the pitch. LG will also gain a higher sales positioning profile at London department store Harrod’s owned by Mohamed Al Fayed, the chairman of Fulham Football Club.

“LG Electronics is a market leader in the field of electronics and telecommunications and I am delighted it has committed its support to both Fulham and Harrods. Ten years ago I invested in the Club and have seen us rise from the second division to become a firm fixture in the Premiership. Our association with this great company reflects my continued ambition for the Club, and we look forward to a fantastic new season, together taking the Club to even greater heights,” Fayed said.

Fulham will be participating in the third edition of the English FA Premier League's Asian Trophy in Hong Kong in July.
