Malaysia goes down to second Australian club side

Two-years old Australian A-League club Central Coast Mariners defeated AFC Asian Cup 2007 co-host Malaysia 3-0 in a friendly watched by 2,000 spectators at Pluim Park, north of Sydney. While this was the Mariners’ first game since returning to full pre-season training last Tuesday, the touring Malaysian line up boasted a gallery of players set to feature in July at Asia’s showpiece quadrennial event. Two-years old Sydney FC earlier defeated the Malaysians 2-0 at Edensor Park in Sydney’s west.
