Pakistan chief tips Olympic upset over Singapore

Pakistan Football Federation President Faisal Saleh Hayat is confident his team will beat Singapore in their first away game of the first round of the Olympic Games Football Tournament on 7 February at Jalan Besar Stadium. "The young team comprises talented players and it has all the potential to produce desired result," he told APP.

He also praised the team for their stubborn and high-spirited display against Japan, North Korea and Syria in the 15th Asian Games Football Tournament in Doha. "To restrict last Games's runner-up Japan to only 2-3 defeat shows that our footballers have courage, exuberant to face more skilful opponents. Our display against North Korea and Syria was also praiseworthy ... Although Singapore is 45 places above us in FIFA World Ranking but my players are capable of providing tough moments to them at their own soil," he said.
