Yeo appointed Secretary General for Singapore FA

The Football Association of Singapore has announced the appointment of Steven Yeo as its new General Secretary commencing on 15 February 2007 but with effect from 1 April 2007 after the incumbent General Secretary John Koh retires on 31 March. He will work closely with the current senior management team at the FAS and with S-League CEO, Winston Lee. Both will be accountable to the FAS Exco headed by FAS President, Ho Peng Kee. Yeo, 46, was deputy CEO of the Singapore Sports Council from 2000 to 2005 where he spearheaded the restructuring of the SSC in response to a government initiative known as “Sporting Singapore”. He was the Secretary General of the Singapore Badminton Association from 2002 to 2006 and is presently a council member of the International Badminton Federation.
