Korea's Hwang Sun-hong to study in England

Former South Korean football star Hwang Sun-hong will leave for England in March to study there for a year. Hwang, who led the Chunnam Dragons to their second Korean Football Association Cup title last season, expressed his gratitude to fans for supporting him and his wish to improve his abilities as a leader and coach on the Dragons' webpage.

"I have felt your love and passion during the four years I have been with the Dragons. It was a very special time for me," he wrote, as translated by The Korean Herald. "I decided to study abroad because I felt that I needed to improve myself as a leader."

The 39-year-old ex-coach plans to receive leadership training next month before leaving for England. Hwang's education abroad includes learning English in the mornings and football leadership training in the afternoons, the newspaper reported.
