J-League's youngest scores first goal in Series A

Japanese striker Takayuki Morimoto scored his first-ever Serie A goal in his Italian debut to assist Catania draw with Atlanta, 1-1. Morimoto was fielded as substitute in the 84th minute and found the net four minutes later. He holds the record of youngest player to debut in the J-League and score when he was only 15 years old in 2004. He was transferred to the Italian side on loan for one year from Tokyo Verdy last July. He represented Japan in the FIFA World Youth Championship 2005.
