Al Ahli beat Al Najma 4-3 on penalties after extra time ended 1-1 to win the Bahrain FA Cup for the third time. However this was the first win for Al Ahli under new coach and former team midfielder Jassim Mohammed who replaced Germany's Heinz Yohan last month after the team's poor run in the league. Al Jazeera beat Al Ahli 4-1 to win the UAE FA Cup, the first ever title for the Abu Dhabi club in their 40-year history.
