Indonesian Manchester United fans get credit card

PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk and Barclaycard have launched the Manchester United MasterCard in Indonesia following similar Asian Manchester United co-branding initiatives in Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand and South Korea. Steven Falk, Director of Financial Services, Manchester United said it would "bring a part of the club to millions of Manchester United fans based in Indonesia." Bank Danamon was established in 1956 and operates 1,373 branches and 9,400 ATMs in all 32 provinces of Indonesia, the world's fourth largest country by population. “We believe that the loyal fans of Manchester United in Indonesia are not only large in number, but also growing rapidly," Subba Vaidyanathan, Bank Danamon’s Card Business Head, said. "We are therefore delighted to formalize this partnership for the start of the 2006/07 football season."
