West Negros Summer Football Clinic a success

A total of 24 young Philippine football enthusiasts ranging from age of four to 12 years old graduated from the 2006 West Negros College Summer Football Clinic, coach Norman Fegidero Jr informed the Sun Star. The players put into use what they learned from the month-long course conducted by instructors and trainers accredited by the Asian Football Confederation, by competing with visiting teams during a day-long football festival. The competitors came from University of St. La Salle, University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, Handumanan United Football Club and Santa Clara Football Club.

The instructors were assisted by members of the WNC college varsity squad led by Joel Ballo-allo, the best defender awardee of the 2006 Philippine Football Federation National Men's Open Championship; former National Coke Go-for-Goal best goalkeeper awardee Kenneth Dolloso; and Robert CaƱedo, best midfielder awardee in the recent Cebu inter-Club invitational tournament won by WNC at the expense of Don Bosco College-Cebu.
